About XBS Notify
This block demonstrates the soon to be released XBS Notify module.
For a little while now, we have been using the XBS Notify system in conjunction with our Logger, MetaTags and Modgen modules and recording installations, updates and uninstalls.
Every time a user installs etc, one of these modules, a message is sent back to this site to record the action. No personal data is recorded. We do record the IP address so that in future, we can produce stats of where in the world, our software is being used. This will enable us to tailor future support and implementation towards areas that are actively using our software.
We cannot show the true picture fo all our modules as they are not all utilising XBS Notify. As at the end of July 2006, the following download figures aggregated from the Xoops.org, Sourceforge.net and this site hold true

We'd like to see this sort of functionality built into the core of Xoops for a couple of reasons. a/ It is useful to see what modules are being used and where, and b/ It is a good building block for a Xoops developer affiliation program.
